Nothing Like The Last Minute!!!

I was thinking I'd save EG's planned Christmas dress for next year. Then.....four days before Christmas I changed my mind, which made for several late nights!!! The dress part is from the dress I wore in my sister's wedding. I was a little over 7 months pregnant with EG, so you can imagine the dress had lots of fabric. Mrs. Neel from The Smocking Bird gave me the idea to smock a collar and attach it. I love how it turned out:)

Cute Pics

While I was busy taking pictures on my baby, Emmie Grace had the same idea for her babies:)

A little Christmas Baking:)

Emmie Grace loved making sugar cookies and doing the sugar and sprinkles all by herself.

The Polar Express

One fun thing we did this Christmas season was ride the Polar Express. We all really enjoyed this and are planning on adding it to our Christmas traditions. Emmie Grace wore her Christmas pajamas, had cookies and milk, received the "1st Gift of Christmas", could have had her picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Clause (no go on that one) and sang tons of Christmas carols. Can't wait to go back next year!!!!

My baby is growing up!!!

I think we have a "dog person" on our hands:)

We went to Rabun Gap to visit Dave's Aunt Cary and Uncle Woody. We had such a wonderful time and loved getting to spend time with them. Emmie Grace really enjoyed spending time with their St. Bernard, Sydney.

Thanksgiving and 1st flight with Daddy

We had another wonderful year at the farm where my Grandmother grew up. We love getting to see this side of my family and look forward to this tradition each year. This trip was especially exciting!!! Emmie Grace had her first flight with her Daddy. I'd like to say that I was calm the entire trip, but it was no surprise.....that didn't happen. To say I went into complete freak out mode is an under statement (Emily...it was an "it's not worth it" moment for sure). To the dismay of my sister we landed the plane about 30 (driving) minutes from our destination. Oh well, in hind sight it was fun and Emmie Grace did GREAT (most of the time)....maybe I can say the same for myself next time.
